What Is Normal When Cats Poo?
At least once every day, most cats will poop. When they're well, their faeces should:
be a dark brown colour
Feel neither too mushy nor too soft.
smelling rather unpleasant, yet some odour is usual
Diarrhea
Diarrhea is a common ailment in cats, and there are several reasons why it occurs. It occasionally comes and goes swiftly. Other times, it may just last a few hours, days, weeks, or even months, or it may recur frequently.
Unless you have an elderly cat or a kitten, 24- to 48-hour bouts of diarrhoea are probably not going to be a problem. But if it goes on for too long, your cat can get critically dehydrated.
Cat diarrhoea has a number of typical causes, such as:
dietary modifications, food allergies, or intolerances
Colitis of the bowels
Colitis
Worms (intestinal parasites) (intestinal parasites)
a pancreatic condition
Cancer
Hyperthyroidism

There are several causes of constipation in cats, including:
excessive grooming, which results in more hair in the gastrointestinal tract
kidney issues
Feline megacolon occurs when the colon becomes exceedingly large and its muscles stop contracting, causing a buildup of hard, dry stool inside.
Something like a piece of rope or a bone blocking their gut
diets with insufficient fibre
issues with the colon, such as limited spaces or tumours
spinal issues or discomfort
Your veterinarian could advise adding more fibre to your cat's diet, such as adding canned pumpkin to their usual food, to help them relieve constipation. They may also advise you to switch to food that is simpler for your pet to digest. Additionally, certain drugs may be beneficial.
In order for waste to pass through their system more easily, it also helps to make sure they exercise more and drink more water.
